Zainab Auwalu Ibrahim is a PhD student and Research Assistant at the College of Nursing, Yonsei University. She holds a Diploma in Nursing from the School of Nursing, Kano State; a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Ahmadu Bello University; and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Yonsei University, South Korea. With over ten years of clinical experience in infectious diseases, maternal health, and pediatric care, she also serves as a staff member at the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja. Her research focuses on health promotion, self-care among young adults, and the strengthening of primary health care systems. She is particularly interested in the factors that influence self-care practices for chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes. Her goal is to develop digital health-based self-care strategies for young adults, integrate social determinants of health, and design evidence-based interventions that will empower young adults to actively manage their health, especially in resource-limited settings.
